Shitake or Truffle? John Colbert Spoofs Jae Rhim Lee

"I would not be found dead in this suit!"

"Speed up decomponsition??!! Is not my dead body decomposing fast enough for you??"

John Colbert extracted every ounce of the comedy from Jae Rhim Lee's Infinity Burial Suit, and never compromised the integrity of her pursuit.  All this happened on Comedy Central on November 6.

The audience chuckled as they were introduced to a pragmatic and ethical alternative to conventional burial and cremation.

“I have no interest in the low grade shitakes this thing is going to turn me into. If I’m going to be turned into a fungis, it is better to become white premium truffles sniffed down by a boar in the forests of Italy than shaved over a headphone manager’s linguini…

“I hope I die in time for me to eat myself.”

“The burial industrial complex is rallying behind this shroud.”

Death Suit won the Design for Death Competition’s Special Jury Prize and was featured at the National Funeral Directors Assoc. Int’l Convention in Austin, TX in Oct 2013

Now Lee is offering 1000 memberships to the INNER CIRCLE of the Decompiculture Society for a donation of $65. “As an Inner Circle member, you will be an EARLY ADOPTER of the next Infinity Burial System and help create the “future of the funeral industry”! The funds will be used to launch full production of the infinity burial suit.
