Project: Greenfort, HeHe, Mandiberg, and Starling focus on reducing the amount of energy consumed by individual consumers. However, their means of communicating this message varies greatly. Greenfort provides an experience; HeHe conducts a communal effort;  Mandiberg introduces an on-line ap; Starling performs a demonstration. Apply the communication strategy of one of these artists to your own energy conservation plan (e.g. convince students to unplug their computers when they are not being used).

Research / Discussion: The goal of energy conservation extends beyond providing future generations with a healthful environment and ample resources. Other benefits might include improvement of national security, reduction of energy costs, promotion of economic stability, increase in business profits, etc.  Discuss how and why energy conservation could produce one of these non-environmental benefits.
